ClearToRetire Privacy Policy

Overview

ClearToRetire ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use our FERS retirement calculator.

Information Collection and Use

What We DO NOT Collect

ClearToRetire does not collect, store, or transmit:

• ✗ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• ✗ Financial data (salary, TSP balance, Social Security estimates)
• ✗ Retirement planning data or scenarios
• ✗ Location data
• ✗ Device identifiers
• ✗ Usage analytics or statistics
• ✗ Crash reports
• ✗ Any other personally identifiable information

What Information Stays on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to external servers:

• ✓ Retirement Profile: Date of birth, employee type, service dates, salary, and other inputs you enter
• ✓ Financial Information: TSP balances, Social Security estimates, investment accounts, and income sources
• ✓ Settings & Preferences: Tax filing status, state of residence, assumptions, and calculation preferences
• ✓ Scenarios: Retirement date scenarios you create for comparison

All this data:

• Remains on your device
• Is never transmitted to any server
• Can be deleted by deleting the app
• Is not accessible to the developer or any third party

Data Processing

Local Processing Only

All retirement calculations happen entirely on your device:

1. Input: You enter your retirement profile information
2. Processing: The app calculates pension, TSP, Social Security, taxes, and take-home income using published federal formulas
3. Display: Results are displayed only on your device
4. No Cloud: No data is uploaded to any cloud service or external server

No Network Connectivity Required

ClearToRetire does not require an internet connection to function. All calculations, data storage, and features work completely offline.

Third-Party Services

ClearToRetire does not integrate with any third-party services, including:

• ✗ No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• ✗ No crash reporting services
• ✗ No advertising networks
• ✗ No social media integrations
• ✗ No cloud storage services

Data Sharing

ClearToRetire does not share any data with:

• The app developer
• Third parties
• Advertisers
• Analytics companies
• Other apps or services

Children's Privacy

ClearToRetire does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else, as we do not collect any information at all.

Data Security

Data stored on your device is protected by:

• iOS security features (data protection, app sandboxing)
• Device passcode/biometric authentication
• Encrypted device storage (when device encryption is enabled)

Your Privacy Rights

Access to Your Data

Since all data stays on your device, you have full access to view and modify your information within the app at any time.

Deletion of Your Data

To delete all app data, simply delete the ClearToRetire app from your device:

1. Settings → General → iPhone Storage → ClearToRetire → Delete App
2. All local data and settings will be permanently removed

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not sell personal information
• We do not share personal information with third parties

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• We do not process personal data
• We do not transfer data outside your device
• We do not engage in automated decision-making

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in this document with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
